12 SEPT 2010 - 50th REUNION FOR OLD BOYS FROM THE 1960s (12/09/2010 , at )

On Sunday 12 September 2010, the College will be hosting up to 100 Old Boys who were at the college around the year 1960. That means you may have arrived in 1955 and then left in 1960 or possibly arrived in 1960 and then left in 1965. This 10 year band is not fixed in stone (and a year or two either side is fine), but it should mean that you will know a good number of those attending.

Many will have travelled from overseas and many will be accompanied by their wives and partners.

The day will probably start around 12.00 at various local pubs, with everyone gathering at the College for for a traditional Carvery lunch from 1.00pm, followed by Tea later in the afternoon. (There will be a £25 charge to cover all food). During the afternoon it is hoped to organise some activities, including tours around the college, as well as an update from The Headmaster, Toby Mullins, about recent events and future plans. (there are currently over 500 pupils at the College).

Because of the numbers from overseas we have booked rooms at the Chichester Park Hotel, and organised a dinner there the night before Saturday 11th.
This this may well be of interest to those travelling some distance in the UK as well.

We have already had a superb response to an email to 135 Old Boys, but if anyone is interested in joining this group or would like further information about the event and accommodation, please email Bob Jarvis (Millburgh 1960-65) directly at r.p.jarvis@gmail.com (or tel 01276-26119 ).
