New Book Published by John Ellerton - Housemaster of Millburgh Hall

Many Old Seafordians who knew John Ellerton as their housemaster at Millburgh Hall in the 60s and 70s will be delighted to know that John has published his first children's book, Wilbur, illustrated by his grandaughter Caroline. The book sells at £5 from major booksellers and would make a perfect gift for anyone with small children or small grandchildren

Wilbur
The Duck who Hated Getting his Feet Wet
By: John Ellerton
Published by: Pomegranate Press
Price: £5.00
Available from: major booksellers

"It is difficult being a duck if you don't like water - but fortunately young Wilbur has good friends around him. There's Orville, the kindly woodpecker who has problems of his own (a pair of goggles soon sorts him out), and there's six year old Victoria Jane over at the farm who stirs up a delicious drink called Supasip.

Finally there's the lovely female duck, Donna, who takes a shine to Wilbur and teaches him how to build a nest. Before you know it there's a brood of little ducklings on the way and those rather ridiculous red wellies have been long forgotten.

Illustrated by: Caroline Slage."
